Rodeo Stock Show Tee
Inspired by, and produced with a strikingly similar art style and look to the 1940-1950’s western stylized adverts, clothing fabrics and western décor.
This design is in honor of a long American tradition of Rodeos and Stock Shows. Rodeos had their beginnings as just Stock Shows to show your cattle to potential buyers. Ranchers would go on cattle drives to get to the Stock Show, but sometime during these meetings, Ranchers started showing off their skills from, herding, branding, horse breaking, roping, horse riding… to other Ranchers at the Stock Shows.
We’re not Rodeo experts and don’t know exactly how, when, and exactly where these “Cowboy Competitions” were added to the events of the Stock Shows, or by whom. It might have been the earliest existence of the phrase, “Hold my beer, watch this!” to show up in American conversation…we’re still trying to verify this through our sources.
Printed inks on this shirt are yellowish gold, aqua blue and warm red.
All our newest print designs will be one-run limited prints. We don't want everyone running around wearing the same thing, so we've limited our prints to first run limits only, not to be reproduced or re-stocked again, so that you can look different then everyone else.
We use the same inks and printing style as they did on 1950s t-shirts, tablecloths, Hawaiian shirts, and fashion fabrics. Old school is still the best school! As always, these are made of 100% pre-shrunk cotton for sensitive skin, breath-ability, and a comfortable fit. This t-shirt is a natural cream-colored t-shirt - it is not a white t-shirt.
